VCD Adam Lister HELLO KITTY
『SPECIAL PRODUCT DESIGN』と『TOYとARTの融合』を全世界に向けて発信するメディコム・トイが「気軽に買えるアート」をコンセプトに、ピクセルアーティストのアダム・リスターとハローキティの記念的コラボレーションでソフビフィギュアVCD（ヴァイナル・コレクティブル・ドールズ）を制作。
A BATHING APE®(ア ベイシング エイプ®)とコラボレーション
BAPE®のアイコニックシンボル「エイプヘッド」「ベイプカモ」「シャーク（モチーフ）」がアダム・リスターのピクセルスタイルに基づく水彩画で描かれたTシャツコレクション。
The School of Visual Artsを卒業したリスターは、ヴィジュアル・アーティストとして活動している。
その作品は、アイコン的なイメージと大衆文化の幾何学的解釈によって構成されている。
リスターは、世界中の数多くのギャラリーで作品を展示している一方で、ストリートウェアブランド、スポーツブランド、他のアーティストとのコラボレーションなどの活動も行なっている。
彼は、水彩絵の具の透明性とアクリル絵の具の平面性を備えるピクセル化された図という、解体されたミニマルな美学を結合させることによって、古典的なイメージを最も単純的な形に分解する。
また彼は、われわれが慣れ親しんでいるイメージを主題に取り上げることで、そして、平面的なキュビズムのような構成へとそれらを平面化することで、ノスタルジアと数学の関係を探求する。

Lister, a graduate of the School of Visual Arts, works as a visual artist.
His practice is constructed through iconic imagery and geometric interpretations of popular culture. While exhibiting in numerous galleries around the world, Lister also engages in collaborations with streetwear brands, sports companies, and fellow artists.
He deconstructs classical imagery into its most elemental forms by merging a dismantled minimal aesthetic—pixelated figures that combine the translucency of watercolor with the flatness of acrylic paint.
By taking up images that are deeply familiar to us and reducing them into flattened compositions reminiscent of planar Cubism, Lister explores the relationship between nostalgia and mathematics. This process serves both as an invocation of memory and as an emphasis on the simultaneous complexity and simplicity of a single image.
These works emerge from an inquiry into geometric thought and the fragility of images. Lister’s fascination with vision and spatial arrangement lies in depicting each image at a particular, recognizable level, while at the same time playfully engaging with the very methods by which such images are constructed.
Among his other activities, Lister collaborated with MEDICOM TOY to create the VCD (Vinyl Collectible Dolls) Adam Lister HELLO KITTY. Under the company’s global mission of promoting “Special Product Design” and the “fusion of toy and art,” the collaboration produced a commemorative sofubi figure embodying the concept of “art that can be easily owned.”
He also collaborated with A BATHING APE®, producing a T-shirt collection in which BAPE®’s iconic symbols—the Ape Head, BAPE Camo, and Shark motif—were reinterpreted through Lister’s signature pixel-based watercolor style.
